Introducing a new forum for digital leadership
The rise of digital technologies holds incredible promise for the advancement of human welfare all over the world. At the same time, it confronts us with important questions around how we can ensure a sustainable, inclusive and trustworthy digital future for all. The decisions we make today will shape the world for generations to come, and collaboration and dialogue are key to our success as a global society in realizing the full social, economic and environmental potential of the digital age.
The Arab tradition of the majlis has long inspired conversations addressing societal challenges. Similarly, the Digital Majlis is designed to spark dialogue among different people with different ideas that may have not ordinarily occurred. In this way, it will generate new ideas contributing to the broader public debate on addressing human challenges through technology and innovation. As such, the Digital Majlis will convene a dialogue on digital topics of great significance to society and raise awareness on the transformative impact of the 4th Industrial Revolution on Abu Dhabi, the UAE, the region and the world. The Digital Majlis will help shape the future of government. It will also further support the UAE’s broader strategy in regards to digital transformation, the economy, and implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This year's theme is "AI and the Future of Government".
In accordance with its role to enable, support and deliver a digital government that is proactive, personalized, collaborative and secure, the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority is convening global thought leaders to discuss opportunities and challenges from artificial intelligence (AI) for the future of government and education.
